The NCBI is a not for profit charitable organisation which provides support and services to people experiencing sight loss. Fundraising is a key revenue stream for the organisation and the NCBI recognise the internet is now central in supporting this activity.

A dedicated campaign was developed for their ‘2009 NCBI Desert Classic Cycle’ including print promotion, radio advertising and online initiatives. Frontend helped the NCBI develop a Microsite to support this marketing campaign; ensuing people who were interested in participating could quickly and easily find detailed information and register their interest.

Frontend provided a solution that integrated with their existing website, supported offline initiatives and provided a logical progression from offline to online. The site proved very successful, with increased levels of expression of interest and reduced workload for internal staff dealing with enquiries. The site is complies fully with accessibility guidelines, WCAG level 3 (AAA).
